So I’m still staying home and staying safe. Here’s what kept be from being bored this month.
So Very Great: If you’re looking for a beautiful gift this is it! You can choose gifts based on the occasion or your price point. So Very Great gift boxes include items such as candles, handmade bud vases, hand towels, bath bombs, teas and a diffuser. So if you need a gift for a birthday, thank you, engagement, new baby, new home, self care, or anything else you can think of, So Very Great has any gift you’ll need and it comes already boxed-and boxed beautifully I might add!
The Hanger Valet: Are you trying to get organized so your mornings are less hectic or looking for a way to make packing and travel easier, then The Hanger Valet is for you. The Hanger Valet is a clothes and outfit organizer that keeps everything-clothes, jewelry, undergarments-together in one spot, making getting dressed that much quicker and easier. The zippered pockets allow you to keep everything you’ll need for the outfit in one place and don’t have to go searching for it in the morning or realize you left it home when you’re traveling. I plan to use mine when I travel (hopefully soon!!). This is something I definitely wish I had when my kids were little. Imagine how much easier it would have been getting four kids ready for school in the morning if their outfits and accessories were in one place and they could get dressed independently.
Saje: There are so many items I love from here I don’t know where to begin. Let’s start with pain relief. Between my rheumatoid arthritis and my husband just getting old (but note I’m not getting old! ?), there are a number of products that have helped us. My husband swears by the Pain Release when his shoulders hurt. This roll on oil is blended with marjoram, roman chamomile, and rosemary. I love the Peppermint Halo roll on when my RA flairs up. It says this mix of peppermint, rosemary, and lavender is for the head, but I use it wherever I’m I feeling stiff or sore. I sent some of the Peppermint Halo to my 87 year old mom as well for her RA and she said it’s life changing. I also am not a great sleeper so I use Sleep Well a blend of valerian, lavender and vetiver, before I go to sleep and well, the last few nights I’ve slept through the night-something I haven’t done in a long time. The Rose essential oil is in my diffuser and I love how it smells. I have other products from Saje and have been very happy with all of them. My daughter send me a basket for my birthday last year and it was all Saje products-such a great gift!
Bridgeton: Most people are familiar with this Netflix hit, but if you’re not it’s worth watching. Set in high society London in the early 1800s, this is the story of the Bridgeton family as they look for love. The story, based upon novels written by Julia Quinn, is interesting, the clothing beautiful, the acting incredible. I enjoyed the cast, especially a certain Duke… Anyway, I’m so excited for next season! It’s not scheduled to start filming until the spring of this year, but once it’s out you know I’ll be watching!
Educated by Tara Westover: I started this book a couple of times and couldn’t get in to it, but when my daughter said how much she loved it, I knew I had to give it another try, and I’m so glad I did! This memoir shares the unconventional life of Tara Westover and how she was determined to get an education despite her parents’ disapproval and the many obstacles she encounters along the way. I know I’m late to reading this, but what a truly inspirational story of what one can accomplish despite an unconventional beginning.
The Sweetness of Forgetting by Kristin Harmel: This is the story of a woman going through some heartbreak in her own life when she is asked by her dying grandmother to travel to Paris where she uncovers WWII secrets that change her life forever. Kristin Harmel is a wonderful storyteller. I’ve read a number of her book, all of which I have enjoyed. When I find a book I really like I usually try to read all the books by that author. I’m currently reading The Life Intended and really enjoying it. I’ve also read The Sweetness of Forgetting, The Book of Lost Names, When We Meet Again, The Art of French Kissing, and How to Save a Life. Told you I love this author!
Valentine’s Day Dinner: My husband is always great at planning something special. Given that this year we weren’t going out to celebrate, he decided to bring the celebration home. When I walked into the kitchen the table was set with candlesticks and champagne glasses along with the special caviar bowl and pearl spoons he bought me a few years ago. That night we enjoyed the most delicious caviar and champagne dinner. It was romantic and relaxing and just the perfect night.
Whatever you’re doing to keep from being bored, I hope you’re having lots of fun and celebrating every day! ?
