Hi! I’m Michele, a 62 year old (wow that sounds old!!) who, up until a few years ago, lived with my husband, four kids and two yellow labs. Now it’s just me and my husband. Being an empty nester has certainly been an adjustment, but my husband and I are happy to see our kids grow and soar on their own. As they began all their new adventures I had less and less to do and was searching for something fun for myself as I’d happily been “mom” for so long. Hopefully this blog will provide me with that fun, take away some of my boredom, and entertain you as well.
2022 Update: I’m still an empty nester, but now that we’ve moved to NYC I don’t think I’ll be much of a bored housewife! 😂 I’m excited to continue to share fashion and small businesses with you, and of course great books and travel (hopefully some big trips as soon as it’s safe to do so, but in the meantime I’m enjoying some overnights and a few trips to be with family!).
I’m really excited to share our lives in the Big Apple! I grew up in the suburbs of NYC and went to NYU for grad school so the city has always held a special place in my heart and now I live here! I’ve got some of my kids and my extended family close by which makes me happy. I’m so lucky and excited to share my new adventures with you!
2023 Update: We’re still not in our apartment in NYC. Let’s just say it’s a work in hopefully progress soon! We did buy a home in Sarasota, Florida and are excited to split our time between two incredible places. I’m hoping to add more travel in this year and can’t wait to share it all with you!
