Each season I usually end up focusing on one type of garment, such as cardigans, dusters, or dresses, and probably buy (definitely buy!) too many of the same item. Well, this season I decided to mix it up. I’m going to buy different types of clothing, but use styles I like as my focus.
Right now I’m loving fringe!
When I was in NY and had my personal shopper experience she showed me this really cute fringe skirt. I didn’t buy it at that time, but I couldn’t stop thinking about it so the next day I went back to Club Monaco and picked it up. I’m so glad I did!
I paired the skirt with a short sleeve body suit and a casual pair of booties. I added a small red Chanel bag for a pop of color. I didn’t want to add too much to this outfit because the skirt is definitely my statement piece.
Here I’m wearing the skirt with a Vince pullover sweater I’ve had for years. A pair of heels would dress this up for a night out-how fun will this skirt look when you’re dancing!
Fringe can be done either subtle or bold, but either way it will make a statement. I love the way it moves and it just feels fun!
These Zara fringe pants are oldies shopped from my closet, but whenever I put them on I feel happy. I’m wearing them with a strapless top (similar) under a blazer and a pair of Stella McCartney mules.
I’m not one who really follows trends. If I like something and feel good in it I’ll wear it. So whether or not the items I’m focusing on are hugely on trend right now doesn’t influence me. I always say wear what you love and wear it with confidence.
