Summer Plans

May 24, 2022 •

beach-days

I always get excited as the weather gets warmer and I think about all the things I want to do over the summer. TBH when I was living in Cleveland and had my beautiful backyard that was mostly hanging out by the pool and going out to dinner-not a bad way to spend beautiful, warm days and nights! Now that we’re in the city things will be different. I’m thinking of beach days, picnics in the park, and yup, going out to dinner (well, some things won’t change 😂 )

I asked some of my favorite Instagrammers, influencers, and bloggers what they have planned for the summer. Here’s what they’re hoping to do:

Nubble-Light-House
Nubble Light House
Wells-Reserve-Estuary
Wells Reserve & Estuary
Long-Sands-Beach-1
Long Sands Beach

Ann of @tinitravelsblog: The most important and exciting plan is my son’s wedding in early June! After that we’ll be spending time in Maine and hosting family & friends. Lots of eating, drinking, beaching, hiking, and relaxing! We typically like to do some day trips when we don’t have guests. I’m just now planning our next European adventure for early September.

Fire-Island
Tracy & family on Fire Island

Tracy of tracyleeharrisnyc: I’ll be spending as much time as possible with family and friends on Fire Island this summer. It’s my absolute happiest place and I look forward to my first ferry ride out all Winter long.

aliash_style

Alison of @aliash_style: I hope to step into the big blue pond again, wear shades with mates again, and spend sunshiney times with my family ☀️

Tania of @culturallychic75: This summer I’d love to visit the Canadian Atlantic coast as we are hoping to see the beach! After living in Italy so many years summer is never complete without a beach vacation 😍

@podereumbro

Shirley of @shirlz_law: We haven’t planned a “holiday” as such this year and don’t think we will have one. But before you start boo hoping feeling sorry for me 😭 there’s a good reason 😂

I’m Scottish, but I’ve been living in Italy and Dubai for 20 years. Around half the year in each country. Italy because we have a guesthouse and Dubai because I work there as a photographer. Although both places are jobs, I still manage to relax on weekends in “holiday-like” destinations 😊

My parents in law come from Sardinia and we have visited them every summer (and winter) for the last 20 years. I go there by boat so I can bring my dog 😊

We travelled a lot pre-covid, but now I’m just happy we’re healthy and my two jobs make me feel like I don’t need a booked vacation as such anymore. I can enjoy sun, sea, pool, food and socializing in warm evenings with my home comforts. 😂

DOABH: Shirls added what she called a “shameless” plug for her businesses, but I’m more than happy to share them! @podereumbro @divaboudoir.by.shirley

Joan of @joan_wozniak_style: Summer is almost here and I would love to visit my hometown Krakow and Italy. We usually go to Sardegna that is really beautiful and unique. .

Meera of @bowstreetstyle: This summer – I cannot wait to jet off somewhere for a proper holiday, as it’s been a few years! I’m so looking forward to being by the ocean, playing in the sand with the kids and being poolside with a cocktail in hand! We also love to see places off the tourist trail, so a bit of exploring and mooching in local markets is something I can’t wait to do! Style-wise, I’ve been building my summer box over winter, so I have lots of exciting summer pieces to wear, alongside old favourites styled with summer sandals and a pretty pedicure!Post vacation it will be plenty of picnics, garden parties and barbeques on home soil – let’s hope the British weather gets the memo!

Babette at the LA Art Fair, Summer 2021

Babette of babetteblackla: It (summer) means a lot to me, because this summer I want to start over again with an art and design company my spouse and I established 2 years ago. Our opening was scheduled for March 2020, just when the first lockdown started. Let’s hope this summer is a new beginning.

Whatever your plans are for the summer I hope you have an amazing time with lots of friends, family, and sunshine!
