Fall Fashions We’re Lusting After

When I think about fall fashion, layering comes to mind. It seems the morning starts out cold and by the afternoon I’ve stripped off all my layers! That’s why an outfit with a jacket, such as the one below, is definitely a must in my fall wardrobe.

I asked some of my favorite bloggers, instagrammers, and influencers to share their “must haves” to add to their wardrobes for the upcoming season. Here’s what they had to say:

Suzi of @stingsonthewings: I’m thinking stand out blazers and leather (faux or real) trousers!

Fran of @myhighstreetwardrobe: ?  A biker jacket is definitely a must have item but I already have one. They just go with everything. I am currently on the hunt for a camo jacket so I think that’s my fashion desire for autumn/winter. ?

Marina of @marina.stylista: These are the boots I’m lusting after. I love knee high boots and own several pairs in black and brown. I’m looking to add color like a red boot but these gold ones caught my eye. Gold matches the color scheme of my wardrobe and will take an outfit from “okay” to “showstopper” (which is exactly the effect I’d want from these boots).

Fidelma of @fashionwithfid: My ‘must have’ for the upcoming season has got to be my beloved color pop trouser suits. Actually any suit style is my absolute must have and can’t live without piece…the stronger the color, the better for autumn. Love them all, skinny leg, flared, wide leg, blazer style, cropped leg, extreme shoulder padded, high waisted…love them all n will be wearing them frequently and with pride over the coming season.

Diane of @roomtoveuve: Lusting after this bag in red for so many reasons. I don’t have a red Chanel bag yet, it’s such a classic and will never go out of style so I can hand it down to one of my girls eventually. And it will only increase in value! I love it! ?

Nat of @frock_n_roll: Mine would be the Mac trench. Light enough for autumn but chuck a cosy jumper underneath for the warmth in winter. I do love a good old classic.

Victoria of @victoriaaramburudotcom: One of the essential pieces of this summer that will surely continue to be a success will undoubtedly be a mask made with recycled material. We are all in the same situation, so let’s take things with a positive mind and make the most of it. 

Mana of @manaslife_: My “must have” fashion for autumn/winter ? I am only 5’1” and petite so I have to be careful not to layer up too much as I don’t want to look too short and frumpy. I workout most days and am very confident with my body shape and like to show off my curves and hard work ?, therefore it’s important my clothes fit me nicely so I can appear slender and a little taller. I like to stick to monochrome and less busy colors in my outfits and I don’t like too many accessories as I feel it will make me look bulky, maybe a hat or scarf to keep my neck warm. I love to wear denim/leather pencil skirts, midi dress, short dress with long boots with heels is a must and fitted jumpers that time of year. I tend to stick to dark colors in this season mostly black, grey and browns. I do like the sophisticated, mature, classy look and try to wear clothes that give me confidence.

Sharon of @what_sharon_wore_today: Knitwear with xxl sleeves and shoulder detail is what I’m going for this autumn/winter.

Vanessa of @ness_to_impress: It’s got to be biker boots or big collars for me.

Marilyn of @mazzasmode: Well…I’ve got a few things in my ‘must have’ fashion desire pot. For one, I need a white shirt (I have never owned one), I love their versatility. Next, a pair of thigh high heeled black boots, preferably suede, but my most coveted item is a waterproof Barbour jacket similar to the one worn by Meghan Markle. I want something between a jacket and a coat that does the job of keeping me dry and warm, but looks great in any situation, and this is it! ?

Sally of @sallysquiggles: It’ll still be summer here for a while but I’m already thinking for A/W that I want to find the perfect wool coat in traditional camel or a lovely deep caramel colour

Tania of @culturallychic75: So the 2 items I’ve been lusting after to make my wardrobe complete are a pair of shoes and a bag that are epic for me:

I like to add bags and shoes that are classic and that I will wear for many years to come…

Lisa of @lisavain123: This color drop print dress and top from Gorman I’m currently lusting over. They’re 100% organic cotton and the print is reminiscent of stained glass windows. So colorful and easy to wear everyday and the dress can be belted for a different look.

Pam of @frivolous40s: Well I’m lusting after a scarf or shawl, a must have for transitioning into A/W. It can add to an outfit to glam it up; can wear high street clothes but adding a designer luxury piece to the outfit totally transforms it and makes it all look luxury xx

So I have to be honest, I’m not really sure what I’ll be wearing this fall. I’ve pretty much been home all summer and mostly worn sweats, pjs, and bathing suits. I’m not sure if I’ll be going anywhere (? I will be!) so I don’t know if I’ll be needing anything new—not that that ever stops me from shopping! Here are some pieces I’m looking at the for next season) I’ve already ordered two or the three…):
