There’s nothing better than seeing women supporting other women and this is the premise of Grayson, a company that had re-invented the button up shirt for women.
Grayson believes that working together women are stronger. With this in mind they partnered with HER USA, a community that connects impactful and professional women, to produce a digital series which spotlights everyday superheroes who are making our world a better place. Grayson also donates 2% of their revenue to female-led causes, such as One Fair Wage, The LA Downtown Women’s Center, and Uncommon Threads.
So now we know that Grayson is a giving company, but they also make fantastic button ups. In designing their button up, Grayson gathered a number of women and took their measurements. Then they created shirts that have placed the buttons correctly to fit all chest sizes (yay, no boob gap!) and have a longer backside for coverage and comfort. I was gifted The Hero Button Up in Tissue Cotton and Liquid Flannel. I had so much fun styling them both and they are the perfect additions to my wardrobe!
Let’s start with the Tissue Cotton button up. First off the fit is amazing. I’m so used to having shirts that fit me everywhere but are tight across the chest and this one was not! It’s roomy without being baggy, and is really soft! I paired this with black pants and a zip up vest. A pair of heeled booties and I’m ready to go out to dinner. I love the length of the shirt and how cute it looks peeking out below the vest.
My next look with The Hero Button Up in Tissue Cotton is with a pleated skirt, booties, and little socks. This can easily be worn to work, dinner, or running errands. I tucked the shirt in, but you can tie it at the waist for a more casual look.
This button up will look great with jeans, joggers, skirts, tucked in (full or partial) or untucked. You can add a jean or leather jacket, sneakers, sandals, flats-the options are endless. Oh–I just remembered I have a beautiful black satin ball gown-like skirt-this will be perfect with it–I’m so excited (I’d forgotten about that skirt!?) The Hero Button Up in white Tissue Cotton is really a wardrobe necessity and I’m so excited to add this to my closet!
The Liquid Flannel will get a lot of wear as a shirt and thrown on as a little jacket. First I paired it with jeans, a tank top, and little white booties. I’m new at mixing prints, but this jacket with this plaid shirt makes me happy. I love the longer length of this shirt and how it just peeks out of the bottom of the jacket. This outfit will also look great with sneakers.
Keeping the sneakers on I also kept on the tank top and Liquid Flannel and then added a jean skirt. I decided to tie the shirt at my waist, grabbed a tote, and I’m ready to run my errands.
I can see wearing this button up as a little jacket over jeans and a tee shirt or turtleneck. The Liquid Flannel is just so soft and comfy, I’ll throw it on whenever I need to get cozy.
