I have a really great group of girl friends and I’m truly thankful for them. They’re kind, loving, and always up for something fun.
We decided to start a book club because we’re always trading books or asking for suggestions of what to read next. We had our first meeting and chose a book, but I can’t even tell you the title of the first, and only, book we read. We ended up talking about anything and everything except the book. But we had so much fun we decided to see what else we could do together as a group. We’d go out to dinner, and once we did a glass blowing class, but the highlight was our pole dancing class. Oh my goodness, talk about laughing and having fun-plus a great workout-it was hard!! Of course we all had to get pictures of each other on the pole-how do they make it look so pretty? After learning (trying) the instructor decided to teach us a very seductive dance. Well, it was probably seductive, but when you’ve got 10 cackling women-not so much! One a side note, surprisingly I did manage to do a few turns successfully on the pole!
We also enjoy meeting for lunch at the country club many of us belong to. My husband and I were late joiners so one of the first times I met my girl friends there for lunch they showed me around. After lunch they took me in to one of the restrooms in the ladies’ locker room and showed me the “things we can take.” Wait. what? Oh yes, there were shower caps, single use toothbrushes (great for travel), razors, and these were all for us to take, according to my friends. As we’re walking out one of my more hilarious friends whispers to me, “It’s so funny, the things I stole are falling out of my Chanel…”
Can’t wait to see what happens at our next get together! One thing for sure, I’m never bored when I’m with my girls!!
