I love jumpsuits and I love wearing black so naturally I have a number of black jumpsuits. There’s one jumpsuit in particular that I wear on repeat! I’ve had this jumpsuit for at least 6-7 years and I want to share some of the ways in which I style it as I wear it year round.
Here’s the basic jumpsuit.
The simplest way to change it is to add a belt and change your shoes. I’ve worn the jumpsuit without the belt and with sneakers, flats, sandals, boots-it goes with everything.
Here I layered the jumpsuit with a bell sleeve top and sneakers. This is a great outfit to wear when running errands or just hanging out. If I change my sneakers to heels or booties I could easily wear this out to dinner.
Wearing this sheer sleeve top under the jumpsuit creates a really pretty silhouette that will be perfect for a night out.
A turtleneck or long sleeve tee shirts are more casual pieces to layer under the jumpsuit as the weather gets cooler.
Throwing a blazer, leather jacket, or jean jacket over the jumpsuit is an easy way to change it up. You can decide how dressy or casual you want your outfit to be depending upon your shoes-heels, booties, sneakers, flats, sandals-and your accessories.
Another option is to throw a tunic or dress over the jumpsuit. I’ve had this dress for a while, but it’s too short for my comfort level. I love it and don’t want to part with it, so wearing it over the jumpsuit is a great option.
However you choose to wear your jumpsuit I think it’s a perfect piece to take when you travel, and for any day, as you can change up the jumpsuit in so many ways-this from the serious over-packer! I love how easy it is to wear jumpsuits and to dress them up or wear more casual. This jumpsuit has been in my wardrobe for years and will remain there until it falls apart!
