Bonjour! I’m always in awe when I hear people speaking different languages. To me, there’s just something very romantic about it. So when I came across Oui & Sí, I was intrigued.
Oui & Sí is a family run business that offers digital French and Spanish courses for adults, courses and activity boxes for children, as well as travel guides, and really cute clothing and accessories. Susanne and Mindy, mother and daughter and the founders of Oui & Sí, believe learning a language at any age promotes curiosity, empathy and unity. They also believe that everyone should have the opportunity to learn, which is why for every box they sell they donate one to a child in need! I love this!
I had fun as I began learning French. So much fun that I have to share Oui & Sí with you all! De rien! ☺️
How and why did you start your business?
We are mother-daughter French and Spanish professors who have loved languages our whole lives. We launched our business towards the end of 2020 as a way to share our love of language learning, culture and travel. With the pandemic keeping so many at home, we hoped to bring language learning and inspiration to people’s doorsteps.
What is your mission?
Our mission is to encourage and facilitate learning: language, culture, history, travel, art – it’s all connected. This is why we created our language courses and children’s learning boxes.
What ages are your sessions geared for?
We offer digital courses for children and adults. Our learning boxes are perfect for younger children three and up to introduce language in a fun and playful way.
What are your backgrounds?
Susanne has a degree in education and French. Mindy initially studied history and went on to receive a law degree. She then returned to university to study French and Spanish.
Both have taught foreign language as professors, private tutors and classroom educators in elementary and preschools.
Where do you see your programs in five years?
We will always love sharing languages with others. Learning another language opens our minds and hearts unlike anything we’ve ever experienced. It’s also amazing for our brains, our confidence and is fantastic for travel and business. We hope to continue with our language-learning programs and events while also expanding our brand to offer clothing, accessories, gifts and home goods. We are working with some incredible people to design the kinds of items we would purchase ourselves.
What’s your favorite part of running Oui & Sí?
We love connecting with people and having the opportunity to inspire, educate and learn along side others. Being creative is a passion of both of ours, so being able to flex that muscle is a dream.
What is a day like for you?
Every day is a little different depending on the season. Currently, a lot of time is devoted to finishing up our first collection of clothing and products, which includes design meetings, emails and social media. We make a great team and each work on tasks that suit our specific strengths. No matter how busy the day, we try to end it with family time, a good meal and ideally a glass of wine outside.
I hope you have enjoyed learning about Oui & Sí! I’m off to practice my French.
À bientôt!

I do find it romantic as well. In school I studied Spanish, so I know some . My hubby and I have been learning Italian on Duo Lingo – me one year in, and him 3. We try it out with each other and also when we go out to eat! Enjoy learning French the program sounds great.

Hi Rosemary, Oui & Si is really a great program. Which would you want to learn first-French or Spanish? Let me know how you do! xo, Michele
I wish I would have learned Italian when my parents spoke it in our home. At the time they wanted us to speak English and be American because they were immigrants. It’s never too late though especially when classes like this are available.
Nancy, I understand why they wanted you to speak English. You’re right, it’s never too late. I’m always in awe of individuals that are multi-lingual. Let me know if you start!! 🙂
