April was a pretty special month for me. My son was in to visit for a few days and we celebrated Passover with my family for the first time in almost 23 years! I definitely missed my oldest daughter and my niece, but my brother and his family were here, my sister and one of her daughters, my mom, and my husband and three of my kids. It truly was a special night!
Here’s what else was great in April!
Highline Wellness: I’m still taking CBD from Highline Wellness and it’s still helping me through my days and nights! I recently added their CBD Under Eye Balm and am so happy I did. Everything I’ve tried from them has helped me immensely and I am really loving this eye balm. I haven’t seen my eyes without the dark circles and puffiness underneath in years. I keep looking in the mirror because I feel like my eyes look so good 😂. CBD Under Eye Balm moisturizes under your eye with shea butter and hemp-derived CBD. The lemon oil helps treat the dark under-eye circles. It’s amazing! Use the code MICHELEL10 for 10% off.
Osea Malibu: If you’re looked for skin and body care products that are clean, vegan, seaweed based, and from a female founded and family operated business, Osea Malibu is for you. Osea uses ingredients such as salts, clay, essential oils and most importantly, seaweed. They use seaweed as it is rich in nutrients, vitamins, and minerals that help with anti-aging and moisturizing. Some of my favorites include the Ocean Cleanser, a gentle exfoliant that feels and smells wonderful; the Hyaluronic Sea Serum hydrates and smooths fine lines, and the Undaria Algae Body Oil which hydrates, softens, and firms without feeling greasy. Check them out for skin care products that will help with anti-aging, hydration, blemishes, eye care, sensitive skin, and more.
Monica Vinader Jewelry: Made from recycled gold vermeil, sterling silver and sustainably sourced natural gemstones, diamonds, and pearls, Monica Vinader jewelry can be worn day or night to add some sparkle to your outfit. You’ll want to layer necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings-there are so many great pieces from which to choose. Oh, and their packaging is made from recycled materials and their delivery is carbon neutral. So many reasons to shop Monica Vinader! Including using the code US20RAFINSIDER-AE8B for 20% off!
Jeuje: I love using a different bag each day so when I came across Jeuje (pronounced zhoozh) and their beautiful beaded straps I was really excited. Their straps come in different sizes, both the length of the strap and bead sizes, and can be added to a handbag, phone case, hat, pair of boots, or eyeglasses. The straps are made using Majorica pearls and natural gemstones, which are sourced locally. Jeuje is LA based and a women owned and managed company. Their straps will dress up any bag or accessory and definitely add a bit of jeuje to your style! Use the code Michele0322 for 10% off your order. Enjoy!
Brinn Bags: Bring Bags are so cool, but more importantly they are responsibly produced, beautifully designed statement bags that are 100% animal-free, made with plant based leathers and organic and recycled materials, and those who make these bags are paid fair salaries. I’m wearing the Cash Bag and absolutely love it! It’s spacious without being oversized, I can wear it as a crossbody leaving me hands free which I’ve come to love lately, and it’s not too heavy, something I’m appreciating more and more lately as well. Plus it’s just so cute!
Girlfriend’s Guide to Divorce: When the author of self-help books announces that she is getting divorced her career comes screeching to a halt. Now a single woman in her 40s, Abby must learn to navigate her children and life on her own. Well, not exactly on her own, she’s got her girlfriends. This at times funny, at times emotional original Bravo tv series is based on the Girlfriends’ Guides book series by Vicki Iovine. I enjoyed watching, at times binging, all 5 seasons.
Baby Grand Trilogy: Baby Grand, Baby Bailino, Baby Carter by Dina Santorelli: My mom just moved back to Long Island and the place she moved to was having an author, Dina Santorelli, visit. We love to read and so she was very excited for this visit. She read the first two books in the trilogy prior to the visit and the third after and loved them. And so did I! This trilogy has it all-kidnapping, murder, love, family ties, loyalty, and betrayal. The first book, Baby Grand, begins in Albany, New York with the governor’s daughter being kidnapped from her crib followed by a newly divorced woman being kidnapped from the streets of Manhattan. What’s the connection? Will the police locate them before it’s too late? I loved all of these books and was so sad when the third one was over.
Florida: We’re still on the hunt for a place in Florida. We love Sarasota, but decided to explore some other areas. This trip we headed to Clearwater Beach. The beach was beautiful, but it just wasn’t the area for us. We did explore Siesta Key again and this time we fell in love with it. We had a nice lunch and walked around. I could definitely see myself living there! Fingers crossed as we continue to explore!
