June was such a great month! Seeing family members I haven’t seen in too long, planning to see other family and friends, eating outside at a restaurant, and watching the world open up again-I definitely was not bored!
Seattle to see my son!: Last month I shared how I was able to see my mom and it was great. Well, this month I finally saw my son after 17 months! My husband and I flew to Seattle and spent a few days with my son, his girlfriend, and their dog Billie! It was a wonderful trip filled with lots of dog parks and walks and eating. They rescued a retired racing greyhound and all I can say is-have you even seen a greyhound run? She was incredibly fast and sounded like a horse! And then she just wanted to chill lol. Billie is so very sweet with those puppy dog eyes! The parks they took us to were beautiful green fields with a view of water and snow covered mountains. At one park we saw a heron nesting area with so many nests and right in the midst of that a bald eagle! We also ate-a lot and one day we went to a beautiful beach and they planned an incredible picnic. While I would have been happy sitting in a room with them (I just wanted to see them!) they planned so many fun things to do. It was truly a wonderful trip.
Planning travel: My family has not been together since December 2019 and so we decided to plan a family trip. The trip isn’t until next month, but the planning has been interesting! We’re usually pretty last minute planners and things always work out; this time it was different. Initially we were planning a road trip, but we decided to change that as we didn’t know if everyone would be able to stay the entire time and it just made things more complicated. The biggest obstacle was looking for a place to stay as so many places were booked. The reasoning we got time after time was that so many people cancelled their trips last year (for good reason!) and just transferred it to this year. Finally we figured it out and I’m so excited and looking forward to having my family together finally. I’ll share more about the trip itself next month.
nightrose: Being comfortable is so important to me, whether I’m wearing an outfit to go out or pjs to lounge around the house. Looking good is equally as important to me. nightrose allows me to look good and feel good. Plus, I can transition the beautiful robes to wear as part of my going out outfit or as a coverup over my bathing suit.
Sarah Flint: Wearing comfortable shoes is so important to me, but being stylish is just as important. This is why I love Sarah Flint! These shoes are handcrafted in Italy and sold directly to you, so there’s no wholesale markup! With features such as an anatomical arch support and 6mm of extra footbed padding, you’ll feel like you’re walking on a cloud! Don’t forget to use the discount code SARAHFLINT-BABOREDHOUSEWIFE for $50 off your first order!
Kozan: I love wearing clothes that have unique style and that’s exactly what Kozan offers. Another great perk Kozan’s clothes offer is that you can dress them up or wear them casually. You’ll feel beautiful and comfortable when you wear anything from Kozan, I promise! Head over to the blog to find some great boutiques that sell these gorgeous styles by Kozan.
Unu: I’m always worrying about getting caught in the rain and then, oh no, my hair will frizz (the curse of naturally frizzy hair!) When I was younger I always carried a zipper hoodie sweatshirt with me, but nowadays that just doesn’t cut it. I was heading out to dinner the other night and it started to rain as we were waiting for a cab. I pulled out my Unu kerchief from by bag and all was good. I love how easy it was to use-two snaps and my hair was protected-and it folds up so it can easily fit in a purse. This is one item I will carry with me every where I go.
Hope Bags: I’ve been looking for a cute bag that I could use both everyday and as a beach bag. When I came across @hope_handmadewithlove on instagram I knew it was worth the wait! Made from all natural fibers, these jute and straw bags are as cute as they are good for the environment!
Cruel Summer: I’m such a tv person. I spend way more time on the couch than I should, but when I’ve found a show that captivates me, I don’t want to move. Cruel Summer is one of those shows. I was hooked from the start and the ending—well, you need to watch to see for yourself!
So what’s been keeping you from being bored?

So wonderful that you could see your son after 17 months. Seattle is so beautiful. My husband had a job offer in Seattle, but I was a scaredy cat about leaving CA back then. Huge regret. (Now we’re in Atlanta.)
I’ll try Cruel Summer. I heard that it’s good.
Great post!

Wendy, It was so great to see him! My husband had a job offer in La Jolla years ago but I didn’t want to go across the country (we’re originally from NY). In hindsight I wish we had gone for a bit, but things work out how they’re supposed to!
Let me know what you think of Cruel Summer!
Thanks for reading! xo, Michele
I’m always looking for new shows to watch. Will have to try Cruel Summer!
Hi Kristi, Let me know what you think of Cruel Summer and if you have any suggestions of other shows please let me know! Thanks. xo, Michele
Michele,
I am so happy that you got to see your son!
I love the beautiful Kozan dress you are wearing!
I will have to see if I can find a boutique that sells Kozan.
Thanks Robin! Seeing him was the best! Kozan has beautiful clothes! I’ve listed a bunch of boutiques that sell Kozan on the June 15th post, which shares other Kozan outfits! I’ll email you the link! Let me know what you get!! xo, Michele
