This was a big month for me. It actually feels like things are really starting to return to normal. Granted I’m still wearing a mask, but I don’t mind because at least I’m getting out.
Visiting my mom with one of my daughters! I hadn’t seen my mom in over a year as she lives in a different state. It was so exciting to be able to see her. One of my daughters met me there so that made a great trip even better. We stayed at The Seagate Hotel in Delray Beach, Florida. I love downtown Delray. There are so many great restaurants and cute little shops to explore (all while wearing a mask of course). It’s really been nice to travel again and especially to see my family!
Derby Hat: Going to the Kentucky Derby is high on my bucket list. Obviously this was not the year for it, but it was fun to get dressed up! This hat from Church Derby Hats made me feel so glamourous. I closed my eyes and pretended I was there! One day I will be, but for now this was perfect.
Cashmere Kiwi: As I start to bring out my summer clothes, finally!, and pack away my winter clothes, Cashmere Kiwi Storage Bags have made it so easy. It also gives me peace of mind as I know my sweaters will be protected and when I unpack them come cooler weather, they will be in perfect condition. Actually, I think I might keep them in the bags year round as the clear window allows me to see exactly what is inside.
The Girl He Used To Know by Tracey Garvis Ganes: This book is about a young woman and how she deals with being on the autism spectrum. A wonderful story reinforcing that we are all entitled to love and happiness no matter what our differences may be. I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read others by this author. When I find a book I like I want to read everything that author has written. Do you do that as well?
Joanah Black International: I’m trying to add color and pattern to my usually black wardrobe and the clothes from Joanah Black International are the perfect way to do so. Dara, the designer/owner, creates clothes that will really make you look and feel beautiful and strong. I’m excited to see what she designs for future seasons as the current looks are simply stunning.
Chips Fashion: I love sharing great small businesses, especially when they have such a beautiful selection and the owners are so sweet. This is exactly why I love Chiara and Ipi and Chips Fashion! This jumpsuit is so perfect to wear from day to night simply by changing your shoes and accessories. I will be wearing it a lot this summer and once I really start to travel this jumpsuit will be traveling with me everywhere.
Urbani Truffles: For my husband’s birthday my daughter found Urbani Truffles store in NYC. Lucky for me they have an online shop so I could have everything shipped. I ordered the White Truffle Honey, White Truffle Oil, White Truffle Lobster Roll Kit, and Urbani Truffles Burgers. Can you tell we love truffles! Everything was delicious! We used the honey on cheese and crackers-so, so good. The Lobster Roll Kit was delicious and we have been using the truffle butter that was left on so many thing. I can’t wait to move to the city as I know I’ll be visiting Urbani Truffles often!
I hope you had a wonderful May and wishing you an exciting June!

I bet it was nice to see to see your mum again. It has been a problem for many people during the last year. I have not seen my daughter for a few years now as she lives in Australia and I am in France. Nice post with lovely tips.

Marijke, It was so nice to see my mom! I also just got to see my son after about a year and a half so I understand how you’re feeling not seeing your daughter. Hopefully you will be able to soon. In the meantime, thank goodness for facetime and zoom! (I know it’s not the same but it helps a little) xo, Michele
I love that you’re adding color to your wardrobe!! I feel like this makes a huge difference in how we feel!!

We are fans of Delray as well! Downtown is fun! The sea gate is our favorite hotel there:)
Judy, Downtown Delray is fantastic! My mom is moving back to NY, which I’m happy about, but we probably won’t visit as much once she moves. We’ll have to make an effort to do so! I love the Seagate as well! Thanks for reading xo, Michele
