What I’m Wearing: Lace

June 16, 2020 •

Lace

I like contrast in clothes-hard with soft, fancy with casual, masculine with feminine, which is why I love the look of lace with a leather or jean jacket, combat boots or sneakers. Don’t get me wrong I love wearing heels with lace, but there’s something about the femininity of lace with the toughness of leather or casualness of a jean jacket that, to me, looks so cool.

J-Crew

Here I’m wearing a pair of J. Crew lace pants that are so comfortable. I paired them with a short sleeve bodysuit from H & M, a Kut From The Kloth jean jacket, and a pair of Gucci shoes I’ve had for a while. I’ve also worn these lace pants with a leather jacket and booties, as well as with heels.

Gucci
Loft-skirt

This lace skirt is from Loft and I’m wearing it with a long sleeve shirt from Zara and my trusty Stan Smiths. Sandals or flats also look good with this skirt, as does a short sleeve boxy tee shirt. A jean or leather jacket can also be added.
