The first suit I ever owned was back in the early 80s (yes, I know I’m dating myself.) I bought a beautiful suit for my first job interview out of grad school. My mom loves to tell the story of how I was getting dressed for the interview and that’s when I noticed the security tag was still on the suit. As if I wasn’t nervous enough! I actually have no idea what I did-my memory doesn’t go back that far! ?
Suits have changed a lot since my interview all those years ago. I don’t think many people wear them for interviews anymore, and honestly, they’re so much more fun these days and can be worn just because! Today I’m sharing some of my favorite suits from my closet!
Today’s suits can be worn in so many different ways. Wear them with heels, boots, sneakers-whatever makes you happy and comfortable. Plus being able to wear the jacket and pants separately is also a bonus. I love bringing suits when I travel because I can create so many different outfits with just a few pieces. Now I just need to be able to travel again!!
Note: I want to apologize and explain about these photos. So I usually try to have the photos taken in the current season. Obviously these were taken in the fall. I really wanted to post about suits, but other topics kept arising and as a result this post was pushed back. The good part is that suits can be styled to wear year round.
