Spring is definitely close! We’ve had some gorgeous days here in NYC, followed by days of snow, but those sunny days are giving us all a taste of what’s to come!
In the meantime, here’s what kept me busy during the month of March.
WTHN: My daughter invited me to go to an acupuncture session at WTHN. I love acupuncture and for years went on a weekly basis. I stopped during the pandemic so it was nice to get back to something I’ve missed. WTHN was the perfect place to pick it up again. My session started with my therapist asking a lot of really great questions. It was evident that she had read the forms I filled out and was using them as her guide. This made me feel confident as so many times I feel like I fill out paperwork but no one ever reads it! She also offered good advice for me both physically and mentally. One comment she made really stuck with me. She was telling me about her work with at risk students and how for every 10 hours she worked with them she had to have an hour of self care. It really made me think about much we give to others and to really be fair to those we care for, and ourselves, we need to make sure we take time for ourselves. Next was the acupuncture itself, on a heated table with headphones, a guided meditation, and a sound bath. It was divine. Talk about an hour of self care! I left feeling so relaxed and refreshed. I will definitely be scheduling more sessions asap!
Highline Wellness: This is what gets me through my days, and nights! I was introduced to Highline Wellnes CBD by my daughter and honestly, could not be more appreciative. Between the oil (oral drops) and gummies, the body creams and bath bombs, you can choose which cbd product you need to help you feel relaxed, both physically and mentally. I love how I can get such a good night’s sleep when I take a Night Gummy paired with either an Anytime Gummy or a dropper of the oil. I’m never groggy when I wake up;I just feel rested! I also really like the Debloat Gummies and they are quickly becoming a staple in my CBD game! There really is something for everyone at Highline Wellness, whatever your needs. Use the code MICHELEL10 for 10% off your order.
Third Love: If you’re looking for quality undergarments and loungewear, Third Love is the place to shop. This Classic T-Shirt Bra fits so well and looks smooth under everything. The memory foam cups form to your shape, offers great support and, most important to me, comfort! I also love a comfortable thong and this one is super comfy! Aside from Third Love’s incredible selection, they offer free returns or exchanges for 60 days. It just one of the reasons I’m proud to be a #ThirdLovePartner.
VNV: Sharing a new business that is founded and run by women and geared to women is a win win for everyone. VNV is an online boutique looking to help women of all ages and body types find clothes that fit and make them feel fantastic! You can shop by fit (What do you want to camouflage? What do you want to accentuate?), by designer, or by occasion (i.e., weekend wear or a night out). This is helpful as sometimes I’m looking for something specific and when I want to browse I can “shop all” and scroll through to see everything. Trust me you’re going to want to see everything-it’s all so good! This outfit from Alembika is just one example of the beautiful clothes VNV carries. The pants and tunic are sold as separates and can be worn so many ways.
Simitri Bags: If you’re looking for a fun, unique bag you’ve come to the right place! Simitri bags are handmade in India by artisans who have learned specific skills from their families. From sequins to velvet to chain to tulle, Simitri bags are anything but boring! Each bag will make an incredible statement to any, and every, outfit and you’ll be so happy that you #ownthatbag. Don’t forget the code NotBoringBags15 for 15% off your full price order.
Pomegranate Moon: If you’re looking for fashion accessories-scarves, hats, kimonos, purses-that are handmade and created by a fair trade company, Pomegranate Moon is for you! With beautiful accessories from Nepal and Morocco you’ll find great gifts for friends, family, and maybe (definitely!) a little something for yourself! I love this gorgeous Gypsy Wrap. It’s made from a dropyarn design, felted Sari patches, and soft silk chiffon ruffles. I love how it looks flowy, but it can also be belted and looks incredible. This is just a sample of the incredible talent you’ll find at Pomegranate Moon.
Inventing Anna: I remember hearing this story when it happened and watching it on tv was just—wow. It blows me away what some people think they’re entitled to, and what some are willing to trust and believe. Maybe I’m a bit guarded, but after watching this miniseries about the Instagram legendary “heiress” you will be too. Definitely worth watching all nine episodes. Catch it on Netflix.
The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave: Hannah is so in love with her new husband and then he suddenly disappears. She receives a note that says Protect her. Is she to protect her stepdaughter, Bailey? If so, protect her from what or who? Where is her husband? Together Hannah and Bailey seek to find the truth and discover things are not as they seem. I was riveted and as I always do when I love an author, I read their other books. Next up London is the Best City in America.
I’m so excited for my first spring as a New York City resident! We’ve been doing a lot of walking and exploring in the cold and it’s been great. I can only imagine how much better it will be when it’s warmer and the flowers are blooming. I’m excited to see Central Park and other beautiful areas around the city. Let me know if you have any locations we need to visit! xo

I love acupuncture and have really missed it during Covid. I need to get back to it and how exciting to be living in New York.
Hilda, acupuncture has been such a big part of my life and I’m excited to be back to it! Hopefully you can get back to it also. We’re really happy about our move to NYC and are definitely making the most of it! xo, Michele
Your post reminds me that I really need to find an acupuncturist here in AZ.
And don’t you just love VNV?

Hi Jodie, Yes I absolutely love VNV!! Good luck finding an acupuncturist. It’s such great self care. Thanks for reading xo, Michele
Hi! I tried Third Love for the first time and LOVE the line. As for acupuncture, it freaks me out even though I’ve heard so much about it. But think it could help with allergies?
Hi Gwen, I’m so glad you love Third Love. I think they’re amazing! As far as acupuncture-Yes! I started when I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis and also loved it for menopause (hot flashes!). I also found acupuncture to help me with things like a sinus infection, stomach issues, emotional issues, and even when I had a breast biopsy and was black and blue and in pain at the biopsy site my acupuncturist was able to offer me a great reduction in pain. I think it’s worth a try and even though people often think it will hurt-it doesn’t! Do your research and ask around so you can find a good acupuncturist. Let me know what you decide and email me at [email protected] if you have any questions!! xo, Michele
We are on a similar wavelength Michelle! I am reading that book as well, and am half way into it. I am enjoying it! I am also watching Inventing Anna and am just amazed the amount of people she fooled! It sounds like accupuncture really helps you and that is great. I get dry needling, which is a differnt treatment involving needles that helps release knots.
Have a great weekend

Hi Jess, I’m so glad you are enjoying this book! What are you reading next? As far as Inventing Anna, I too am shocked by all she got away with-until she didn’t! I need to learn more about dry needling-it sounds interesting. Enjoy your weekend! xo, Michele
Great tips to survive wintertime. Loved that you mentioned self pampering. As for the tv series…I’m with you how did she get that far with all her lies and deception. It’s a crazy world out there.
Thanks Nancy! I’ve always heard how important self care is-for yourself and those you’re caring for-and I’m really seeing just how necessary it is! As far as Inventing Anna-O.M.G. just amazing! Here’s to hoping we’re done with winter and ready to enjoy spring! xo, Michele
