I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving-good food and especially precious time with loved ones!
November has been a very strange month. We’re packing up the house as the movers come December 1st! Trying to decide what goes to New York and what to Florida has been interesting. Much of it is an easy decision, but some things I’m just not sure. I guess we’ll see if I made the right decision as time goes on. To be honest, I have not had a second to be bored this month at all!
When I had some down time, here are some things that kept me entertained.
Third Love: When Third Love reached out to me and asked me to be part of their Holiday Gift Campaign, I was excited as I’ve heard such good things about their products. When they sent me the products from which to choose I wasn’t sure if it was for me. In all honesty I’m not confident enough to share photos of myself in undergarments. I explained this and they were so kind, offering me other options so I could still share their products. And I’m so appreciative with what Third Love gifted me. Both the Cotton Cashmere and the Washable Silk sets are beautiful, comfortable, and outfits I will wear out as well as for loungewear. Use the code HOLIDAY20 for 20% off your first order. Anything from Third Love will make a great gift and whoever you buy for will be so excited! Be sure to order something for yourself as well-you deserve to be treated special and that’s exactly how you’ll feel in Third Love!
Money Heist: My daughter had been telling me to watch Money Heist for a while and I finally got around to it and I’m so glad I did. I’m currently on season 3 (there are 5 seasons), and it’s so good! It has a bit of everything-drama, violence, and of course love. I’ve been watching this on Netflix, which makes me happy as I love being able to binge watch a show!
Project Runway: After watching something violent, I’ll change it up with something more calming! I’ve watched Project Runway for years as I love seeing the styles the designers come up with. I thought it was off the air so imagine my surprise when I saw there is a current season (19) on Bravo and I am able to watch it on demand!! Yay! This is exciting for me, so of course I binge watched it. I think if I was to start again I’d have done something in fashion. But that’s ok cause now I can watch others create beautiful clothes and use this as inspiration as I put my outfits together.
Purely Elizabeth Ancient Grain Granola: As I’m watching tv I like to snack. This chocolate sea salt granola satisfies all my cravings! It is plant based, gluten free, dairy free, contains probiotics, and is made with organic ingredients. In addition, the company is female founded. Purely Elizabeth granola is available in a number of flavors. Which is your favorite?
Nada Moo Dairy Free Frozen Dessert: If the snack I’m looking for is something sweet, Nada Moo Mint Chip is my treat of choice!I I’m trying not to eat dairy (as a way to help prevent inflammation with my RA) and Nada Moo ice cream is a perfect treat for me. Made with coconut milk, Nada Moo is gluten free, organic, plant based, non-gmo, vegan, and fair trade. Chocolate, Rockiest Road, Chocolate Peanut Butter (yes, I love chocolate!) are some other incredible flavors. Next up, I’m going to branch out and try Peach Cobbler. Sounds delicious right?! Are you heading out to get some Nada Moo??
Sock Candy: I remember making fun of my dad when he wore socks with sandals and now I think it’s the cutest! Especially when the socks are as fun as those available from Sock Candy. As the weather gets colder I’ll pair these incredible socks with my ankle boots, having them peek out over the top of the boot. There are so many adorable socks to choose from, don’t forget the code MICHELELEE10 for 10% off your purchase.
Organizing Closets: A good friend of mine has a closet full of some incredible clothes, including pieces from over 40 years ago. She gets rid of nothing–until I showed up! We had started cleaning her closet prior to covid and of course it was put on hold. A couple of weeks ago we got back to work and my goal was to get through as much as possible prior to my move. I helped her put outfits together, weed out which pieces, whether older or newer, were ones she needed to let go of, and organize her closet so it’s easier for her to see what she has and find what she’s looking for. I really love doing this so if you’re in the NYC or surrounding areas and want to organize your closet, give me a shout!
The highlight of my month was no doubt having all my kids home for our last Thanksgiving in our house in Cleveland. It was a special time and a bit bittersweet, but I know we will continue to make more memories wherever we live. Being together is more important than anything and I look forward to living closer to my children.
As December starts I know we’re all thinking of those holiday gift lists we have. Be sure to check out my gift guides for great gift ideas from businesses I’ve previously shared on Diary of a Bored Housewife. xo
LOL Project Runway is one of my favorites too. Can’t wait to see where life takes you next.
