Caite & Kyla: Fashion That Empowers Women

March 9, 2023 •

I’ve found another great designer to share with you, and the timing couldn’t be better as we just took a beach trip. Caite & Kyla clothes are flowy and relaxed and make me think of beaches! I’m excited to share them with you!

Karyn Seo, the founder, CEO, President, and Chief Creative Designer at Seo & Seo Inc. has created an apparel company not only with beautiful clothes, but one that strongly empowers women. At their Tampa headquarters, the staff of women are exposed to all aspects of the business as a way to fuel women empowerment, creativity, and growth. This empowerment is not limited to the women at the headquarters. With 5 major factories in India, many of these factories are run by women. This is exciting as here’s a business woman who has worked for the past 20 years to build her business and is giving back by supporting and empowering other women! Amazing!!

The goal of women empowerment is not only for those who work at or with Caite & Kyla. Each piece designed is created with the modern, everyday women in mind, as Karyn empowers women through her designs for her three brands: Caite, Kyla Seo, and Love Kyla. She describes the Caite & Kyla customer as a little bohemian, a little chic-or maybe a lot of both! This customer is one who likes to be noticed, but is also a free spirit. One who desires to dress with confidence and comfort and, of course, incredible style!

Caite includes knit silhouettes with vintage inspired embroidery. In this line you’ll find t-shirts, jackets, and sweaters that are casual and comfy as well as those that are elegant. It’s all in the details and artistry of the embroidery!

Kyla Seo is a casual, contemporary collection including dresses, tunics, jacket, kimonos, and tops. Embroidery i sadded to a classic button-down adding a special Indian touch. The colors and designs of the embroidery are gorgeous as are the fabrics, cottons, linens, velvets, and occasional silks, used to create this line.

Love Kyla is unique in how it incorporates prints from artisans around the world and transforms them into breezy silhouettes creating a beautiful bohemian-chic look. These designs are very romantic and many include hand embroidery by artisans in the cottage industry in India. This is another way in which women are empowered as this allows women to work from home, be there for their families, and make a living.

Here’s how I styled my Caite & Kyla pieces:

Velvet-jumpsuit

I love how the Filippa Tunic looks over my jumpsuit, both belted (see first photo above) or worn open as a duster. This tunic will be perfect with jeans, over a dress, as well as worn as a bathing suit cover. It really was the perfect piece to have on my trip to Turks & Caicos!

button-up-shirt

I love a good button up and the Dita Shirt is so special with it’s plaid front and floral embroidered back (see second photo from top). I chose to wear this shirt with white trousers, but it also looks great with jeans, shorts, maybe even tied at the waist with a denim skirt.

dress-over-pants

The Ryan Dress is one I will be wearing on repeat this summer. As a dress, a top over jeans, or a duster with a tank top and shorts-this dress can be worn so many ways.

bathing-suit-cover

The Kari Dress is so perfect to go from the beach to dinner. I started my day wearing this dress over my bathing suit as I headed to the beach. It was lightweight and felt really comfortable with my sandals. I think it’s a great look for going out to lunch as well. Adding a pair of strappy heels and a clutch and I’m ready to head to dinner with my hubby.

I can definitely see the “India” influence in many of the designs and they are beautiful. I love the casualness and comfort of each piece I put on. I especially love how this business strives to support women, both those who work for them as well as their customers. It’s things like this that make me want to support this business!

Caite & Kyla: beautiful clothes and a fantastic work ethic!

      Thanks Judy,

I’m 5’2″ and weigh 103 lbs so I’m petite as well. I think it’s all about how one styles oversized clothes. Personally I absolutely love this style and Caite & Kyla! Thanks for reading!

      xo,
      Michele

Hi Rena, I agree which is why I love to share and support small businesses, especially those founded and run by women. Caite & Kyla clothes are so worthy of being shared, styled, and loved-they’re comfortable, versatile, and gorgeous! xo, Michele
